mac n' cheese

Ryan asked me to make a side dish to go along with his steak on Friday, so I turned to Ina Garten (as always) for an easy recipe. One of Ina’s top reviewed dishes was her mac n’ cheese. People who reviewed this recipe said to splurge and get the “good” cheese. The recipe calls for Gruyere cheese, and it is expensive. I spent $11 on the Gruyere alone. But it was totally worth every penny. Ryan said this is the best mac n' cheese he has ever had.

P.S. I skipped the tomatoes altogether, and I used panko bread crumbs instead of making my own.
